      SUMMARY

      The Production Material Handler provides parts to and removes parts from production workers assigned to a specific work cell. May count, package, and stage finished products. Uses cart, hand truck and pallet jack to move materials between locations. May assist with setting up and tearing down work stations.

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

      - Provide/remove necessary parts/components to production workers in a timely fashion, according to work instructions.

      - Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe production/work area.

      - Prepare work stations related to and job set-up and tear-down.

      - Perform assembly tasks as needed to meet customer needs.

      - Maintain and comply with all safety standards and practices as required using Wabash Center Safety Manual as reference.
      - Be a role model appropriate work skills for individuals served.

      - Prepare for and participate in quarterly inventory with customer.

      - Maintain professional standards including following company policies related to attendance, punctuality, documentation, dress code and all other company expectations.

      - Ensure all jobs are performed in accordance with Wabash Center expectations.

      - Provide supervision, training and support of assigned employees at all times.

      - Provide quality monitoring and assurance and document such for each job being performed, per procedure.

      - Ensure that equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions to supervisor.

      - Teach, model, maintain and comply with all safety standards and practices as required using Wabash Center

      Safety Manual as reference.

      - Is accountable for the whereabouts of all assigned workers during the work shift, unless relieved by another employee during break periods.

      - Maintain all appropriate information in a confidential and professional manner, and in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations.

      - Actively participate in department discussions and meetings as needed and take action on all assigned items.

      - Immediately alert supervisor of any potentially critical issue or crisis situation.

      - Provide appropriate role modeling for worker emulation, including regular attendance, productivity standards, appropriate worksite behavior, proper hygiene and attire.

      - Ability to meet any state and federal requirements for the assigned position.

      - Attend all scheduled meetings and trainings.

      - Comply with state and federal HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.

      - Maintain a work schedule from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM M-F, some overtime may be required.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      - One (1) year experience in industry or other production experience preferred.

      - Provide appropriate role modeling for worker emulation, including regular attendance, productivity standards, appropriate worksite behavior, proper hygiene and attire.

      - Experience with quality monitoring systems preferred.

      - Experience working with intellectually disabled adults preferred.

      - Ability to learn and effectively utilized computer software applications to accomplish tasks.

      - Must be proficient in Excel.

      - Ability to read, comprehend, interpret and apply information from general procedures, instructions, data and reports.

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

      - Must be able lift move materials weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.

      - Must also be able to assist with moving individuals who require transfer assistance as needed.
